Earlier today The following two problems have been developed for you. Here they are again with solutions.
1. A difficult triangle
What is the length of the advertisement, the intermittent line?
Solution: x = 1
The reason most people fail to solve this example is that the triangle deteriorates: it is actually a line, not a triangle.
The horizontal length is 8.
People who discover that the triangle is deteriorating mistakes in the puzzle, because they immediately assume that the distance between A and D is 0. Reflection of a moment, and you realize that it is 1.
2. Rockin ‘Rectangles
It is easy to divide a box into five rectangles.
But can you:
I) Divide a square into five rectangles so that no rectangles are shared in a full side – that is, the adjacent aspects never start and Finishing the same points? (Rolls do not need to be the same size or shape.)
2) Divide 11 x 11 squares into five rectangles in a way that makes the ten side lengths the full numbers from 1 to 10? Tip: If you solve the first part) use this arrangement of rectangles.
solution
I) You can change the size of the rectangles, and the heart of those on the side to go in the other direction, but this is the only pattern that works.
II) There are two solutions, both of which have a nucleus of 4×7. You will get there by experimenting and error, and monitoring restrictions. The length of the lateral length is 11, so there must be four groups of side length that add up to 11. Region 121, so the total of the five rectangle areas adds to 121 highest numbers from 1 to 10 to pairs, the total products of who is 121?
