2025 NBA All-Star Weekend will take place February 14-16. Here’s everything you need to know about the voting results, the rosters and the starters who will be making the trip to the San Francisco Bay Area.

When does 2025 NBA All-Star voting start?
NBA voting for the 2025 game begins on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 10 a.m. ET. All-Star voting will continue until Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET.
How to vote in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game
Fans were able to vote for NBA rookies on the NBA app or NBA.com.
This year, the NBA is bringing back a new wrinkle called “3-for-1 days.” In those days, fans had six days when their vote was counted three times. The 3-for-1 voting days are below:
- December 21
- December 25
- January 3
- January 10
- January 17
- January 20
What is the format of the 2025 NBA All-Star Game?
This season’s format is a four-game tournament, three league games, three teams of eight All-Stars each, and the fourth team is the winner of the Rising Stars Challenge for first- and second-year players. The winning team in all games will be the first to score 40 points.
How does NBA All-Star voting work?
Despite the new format, the NBA All-Star voting process will be the same as last year. NBA All-Star Games starters are selected by fans, NBA players, and the media. Fan votes make up 50 percent of the vote. All current players and a select group of media representatives will participate at 25 percent each. Players and media only submit one ballot.
How are reserves selected?
Reserves are selected through voting among head coaches, although head coaches are not allowed to vote for their own players. There are seven reserves for each conference.
When will the voting results be released?
Fan voting updates were shared on January 2, 9, and 16. TNT then revealed the starters for the NBA All-Star Game on Thursday, January 23. The reserves will be announced on Thursday, January 30 during the TNT NBA Tip-Off.
How will teams be selected?
TNT analysts Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith will draft the teams from the All-Plater All-Star pool on February 6. The teams will bear their names – Team Shaq, Team Charles and Team Kenny.
The winner of Rising Stars who will go to the All-Star Team Championship will be named Candace, for Candace Parker.
Who will coach the 2025 NBA All-Star Game?
The coaching staffs from the teams with the best records in the Eastern and Western Conferences will go to the All-Star Game. (It can’t be Milwaukee’s or Minnesota’s coaching staff this year, since he coached last year.)
Both East and West coaches will coach a team in the tournament; One assistant coach from each staff will serve as head coach for the other two All-Star teams.
What is money?
There is a $1.8 million prize pool for the All-Star Game.
Each player on the All-Star Champion team will receive $125,000, each player on the runner-up team will receive $50,000, and players on teams eliminated in the semifinals will receive $25,000.
When is the 2025 NBA All-Star Game?
The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025. The game tips off at 8 pm in San Francisco, California.
