Volcano begins erupting in southwestern Iceland after a nearby town and spa are evacuated
LONDON (AP) – A volcano erupted in southern Iceland began on Tuesday, a few hours after the authorities were released soon and the Blue Lagoon resort.
National broadcaster RUV reported that the fire and smoke opened fire in the air when the volcanic slit opened near Grindavik, where about 40 homes were evacuated. The community, located in the Recianis Peninsula, was evacuated largely a year ago when the volcano appeared after lied for 800 years.

Iceland sits above a Volcanic hot point in the North Atlantic Ocean. The most recently introductory accident was the 2010 eruption of the Esflaglagukol volcano, which led to the withdrawal of clouds from ash in the atmosphere and the disruption of air travel across the Atlantic Ocean for several months.
