Sony’s classics It was announced today that they have acquired global rights to the music performance movie that won Tony’s victory. Fun at length Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Tony Prize winner, Tony, Jonathan Group, Tony Lindsay Mendez, Crystal Joy Brown, Katie Rose Clark, and Rij Rogers.
It was directed by Maria Friedman, music by Stephen Sondheim and George Force, which have been three decades ago in the lives of three friends – composer Franklin (Group), theatrical writer Charlie (Radcliffe) and writer Mary (Mendez). The Musical was originally produced in Broadway in 1981, and contains some of the most famous Sondheim songs including “Now You Look”, “Not A Day Goy” and “Old Friends”.
Music also offers one of the most rich tricks for the most tricks in Sondheim and the most influential: The masses bear witness that the life of the characters is backward, from their extremely broken friendships to their young optimism. While the musician has long been considered one of the most difficult Sondheim in the theater, the Broadway 2023-2024 by Friedman was widely praised as conducted the show, in a small part through the famous performances.
The film was produced by Sonia Friedman, David Babani, Patrick Catolo, P. Richard Babas, John Kamin, Dave Serolnik. Among the executive producers are Merridith Bennett, there are no guarantees products, Scott Abrams, Jonathan Core, Marie Mageo, Jeff Romlie, Tony Uricis, Andrew Cohen, Amanda Libsz, Henry Tish alongside the joint producer Stephanie B. McLeland. Carla Zambrano and Alec Sash as supervisors.
Production won the Tony 2024 Awards for the best music revival, as well as the best performance by an actor in a pioneering role in a GROFF, the best performance by an actor in a distinguished role in a music movie (Radcliffe) and the best overlap.

The deal was negotiated between Metzger Iwashina Media, Danny Passman of Gang, Tire, Ramer and Brown & Passman on behalf of producers and Sony Pictures Classics.
