Over the past four years, the festival began the summer period on the 23 -year -old Lacoste campus, and hosted about 160 students from the college’s main sites in Safana and Atlanta.

He attends the 10 -week summer period for students at the Scad’s School of Film and Acting, who spend their time in Lacoste in developing a short movie and then filming a short movie as a group.

“Then we return it to the United States, where we have another chapter that edits and corrects colors and sound,” and continues, adding that the rest of the post -production is also at home by students, before the films are shown in SCAD events.

Other autumn and winter quarters are open to a wide range of Scad cycles including architecture, art, fashion and fiber history.

French cultural sites and events such as Paris Fashion Week and Cannes and Anisi festivals festivals are also combined in accordance with discipline.

The Scad Lacoste campus began life in 2002, after the Savana -based educational institution concluded an agreement with the Lacust School of Arts (LSA) to continue the work of its late founder, American artist Bernard with Berteer.

Cleveland, born in Paris, Bayram, discovered the village in the 1960s, when she was in a state of abandonment after the demise of the silk industry and its country, as its inhabitants moved to the nearby cities and cities such as Marseille and Feneenon in the post -World War II years.

It started to establish the school, and the purchase of 18 local properties over 20 years, which was then donated to Scad as part of its approval to continue the LSA legacy.

Meanwhile, Lavender fields in the Luibron Valley, overlapping chrome farms, and the picturesque villages of the hills were attracted by a group of popular films and artists, who made the area summer and in some cases throughout the year.

For a while, Scad shared the village of Lacoste with French fashion designer Pierre Cardin, who owned many real estate including the castle at the top, which is famous for being the last house of Marquis de Sad.

After the death of Cardin at the age of 98 in 2020, his property sold many of his property to Scad but keeps the castle. It usually hosts the festival that focuses on the DE LACOSTE arts created by Cardin during the summer, but the event is in the event of a one -year stop this year due to renewal works.

The CEO of Scad Lacoste Cédric Maros says that the college now has 70 % of the village, with the current renewal of newly obtained buildings.

After he started as a film director, Marus, who descended from the area, started working with Scad 15 years ago when he did a temporary job in his store to wander between production and then slowly on the ranks of the organization in France.

Today, Scad Lacoste employs about 120 people in and around the village, which includes a family to accommodate up to 200 students and academic members, and generates about $ 10 million for the local economy, says Marus.

He explains that the Film Festival partially arose from the desire to communicate with the local communities that live in villages such as Bonio and Ménerbes as well as guests in the region.

He says: “We were inviting film and television specialists to speak to our students, so we thought not to open this to the broader audience in the region.”

There is another strand of the activity sponsored by Marus, which is tourism with the village that attracts about 40,000 visitors annually, especially in the summer months when the castle is also open.

In addition to the lacoste magic for visitors who pass through open work factories in the renovated cave dwellings, and operating them as part of the Scad’s ALUMNI Ateliers program.

Other SCAD raffles include the Christian Dior: Gardens Revis, and it is revealed, which is a permanent installation by Dutch Art Collective Studio Drift, and taking advantage of biometric data for people to create a digital technical work for them.

Once again at the festival, Rap Rap says the event has quickly become an integral part of the summer quarter.

“It begins students’ experiences here and helps to inform what they will do during the next ten weeks,” she explained. “I think our guests are like the fact that the event focuses on the student, and we attract the right type of people who want to return the favor.”

Jani Timmi (L) Speaks to students in Lacoste

Reeve-Rabb highlights the modern Jane Tamime fashion designer this year.

“Students should see that they are still entering and” testing “for jobs and that it does not matter whether you are a award -winning fashion designer, you are still on the table saying:” This is what I am and this is my design and this is my research. “She says:” Her share on that with students is very impressive. “

“Then we had sir Stephen Freiz Through his full spirit that you must make for the film and learn by doing this, and this is what we think you are learning. “

The festival also falsified links between guests and students with them Emily in Paris Production designer Ann Sibel, a Scad student, offers internal training this summer, after contacting Lacoste last summer.

Two Scad students currently interfere with the Academy Award winning Wrestlerand Napoleon and Gucci House Fashion designer Janty Yates, who was also a guest of Lacoste in 2024.

Before the fifth version of the event, Reeve-Rabb suggests that the 2026 Festival collection may be greater, while maintaining the intimate atmosphere of the event.

“It is not bigger in the range, but greater in terms of continuing to invite more artists in that period. You will not be the chaos of the Cannes Festival, we will keep calm, calm and magic in Lacoste, but I am sure we want to honor the fifth edition,” she says.

It suggests that Scad Lacoste will look forward to simulating the Scad Savannah Film Festival in November, which has become increasingly as a stop in the award season.

“Last year, Mickey Madison, Coleman Domingo and Kiran Kolkin were among many actors who passed and went either to be nominated or won the Academy Award, but this did not change the essence of what the Savana Film Festival was, she says.

“We celebrate every year there and grow in terms of the people we invite, but it remains around students and the quality of programming and people who want to come and participate with students.”
