NUHS app adds wait times, non-urgent care helpline features

The National University Health System recently presented new features on its mobile application before a government plan to unify similar applications in one platform.

The NUHS app now shows the actual time waiting times near the emergency departments of the National University Hospital and NG Teng Fong General, as well as the urgent care center at Alexandra Hospital. Waiting times are updated every 30 minutes.

The app also allows emergency patients to fill in advertising models before they arrive. They can then continue directly to the registration after showing their models for the stirring at the entrance.

Nuhs also provided the nurse’s aid line on the mobile phone application. The auxiliary line, which is run by Woodlands Health emergency nurses, directs the non -assured callers to the appropriate hospitals or clinics based on their symptoms.

In addition, Nuhs users can now check the nearest GPFIRST and PaedSENGAGE clinics in a 2 -km radius from their location.

NUHS participated in the development of the Oneenuhs app with Synapxe, the National Health Technology Agency in Singapore, in 2021. Since April of last year, it was known as the Nuhs app. Available on both iOS and Android devices, and contains more than 840,000 unique users.

In a statement, Nuhs said that the new features are presented “as part of its broader efforts to harness the digital tools to improve the movement of care and the patient’s experience amid high demand for health care, especially with the aging of the population.”
