RPA at Seoul National University Hospital saves 76.5 hours per month

As part of the digital transformation, Seoul National University Hospital has carried out automatic automation recently to automate repeated administrative tasks.

The internal RPA system has been applied to nine major administrative workflow, including medical records audit and monthly statistical reports.

“About 11 % of the daily index management tasks were automated, which led to a decrease of 70 % at the time of treatment. Two automated statistics (100 %), which improves all accuracy and transformation time,” the hospital participated in a statement.

RPA also helps rescue the hospital about 76.5 hours of work per hour-the equivalent of nearly half hours of full-time employees.

“These watches are reserved to high -value activities such as research support, with expectations that the broader adoption through departments will make great productive gains.”

The regime began live in July last year, and since then, it has been preserved by employees who have gone through pre -technical training. To prepare for this implementation, Snuh had to restructure some manual processes and transfer non -structured data from the clinical data warehouse, which was then fed into the RPA system.

According to the hospital, the RPA system obtained the average degree of satisfaction of 95 out of 100 from an internal survey conducted in September. Statistical automation is considered the most dependent advantage.

SNUH is now considering expanding the RPA range in other hospital departments, including the Pharmacy Department and the Surgery Center on the same day.

The biggest context

SNUH recently deported the 30th Information Technology Systems, including and PACS, to the external internet data center. This transition to an external data center, which depends on the infrastructure of the software center known by the software (SDDC), allows the hospital to expand the scope of adopting advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and huge data. Recently, the hospital revealed two large projects of artificial intelligence: a Big Medical Language Model (LLM), which claims to be a country first, and the LLM process Clinical decision support system for careful medicine.

It also sets the basis for the centralization of its clinical data warehouse systems and providing personal care services that benefit from mydata platforms. Early this year, Snuh and its Hospitals in Boramae and Bundang It united their joint data model platforms To enable research at the network level and cooperation.

“A group of factors, including high maintenance costs of aging infrastructure, increased risk of system failure, and the need to adopt large data care environments, collectively informed the decision to move to a more flexible and flexible infrastructure in the field of information technology,” he explained in a statement.

The gradual immigration, which took a total of 16 months of design, was deported as the first time in the hospital in South Korea. Himss also referred to the ability of SNUH’s advanced data center Stage 6 From the infrastructure adoption model last year.
