Pebble Beach, California – Scotti Chefler was trying to make a homemade Rafaoli on Christmas Day – with limited equipment in a rented house – when he realized that he made a serious mistake. He decided to use an empty wine cup to form and chip pasta dough.
“I had my hands over it and erupted, which, a side observation, I only heard horror stories since this happened about the cups of wine, so be careful,” Shifler said on Tuesday. “Even if you are like me and do not drink alcohol, you should be a real caution in wine cups.”
The trunk of a cup of wine is stabbed in the upper comfort of his right hand. This is the essence of the accident, which led to surgery and the PGA player of 2024 of the year of his first two championships, Sentry in Maui and American Express in Palm Springs.
The 1st player in the world starts the first championship of 2025 this week at Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which starts on Thursday. This comes after a long period of two weeks of golf and physical activity, as well as a fixed process from retreating to training and playing. That period was frustrated by the player who flourished in the competition. Shifler does not like to sit and watch.
“It is one of those deals that immediately happen, I was angry at myself because I was like my God, this is very stupid, but you don’t think about it when you are at the present time,” continued. “Yes, I was definitely more careful to do things at home.”
Immediately after the accident, a friend of Seifler, who happened to be a rescue surgeon and helped stop the bleeding. The next day, the wound is no longer open, but the pain remained, and Shifler felt that there was no scope of movement. He decided to communicate with a manual doctor who was working with a thumb injury while he was in the college. Choose surgery. Shifler said he does not expect his right hand to bear any long -term damage.
Sheffler spent the time of healing in thinking and analyzing a historical season that included seven victories over PGA tour – More than that since Tiger Woods won seven in 2007 – as well as an Olympic gold medal and Hero World challenge. He re -watched his tour of the championship and took his mind to those moments that control cruises in the competition, noting that both of his swinging positions and behavior note.
“There are some of the tournaments that I looked at where the thing that stuck most was that I was never exaggerating the reaction of things. I stayed somewhat and waited for my hot moment.”
