Artists in LACMA’s “Imagining Black Diasporas” gather for a photograph

This is a special collection image on the huge anniversary of LacmaImagine black diasporaIt will be printed in the upcoming Image April version. Pass a note dedicated to the coordinator and inspect the offered artworks.
Artists gathered in Lacma to get a picture that revived their inclusion in “Imagine Black Diaspora: the Art of the Twenty -first Century and Poets”, in the sight of July 27. While taking pictures, there was a special request to listen to Roberta Flack (the singer died two days ago). The entire group sang along “Kill me quietly with his song” through the galleries.
The exhibition presents 42 new acquisitions of LacMa as part of the Museum’s continuous work to expand its program and collect African artists. It is an honor for me to make this exhibition in life by making 60 generational artists all over the world. At the opening, the artists discovered and met for the first time, which could create new diaspora networks of exchange and communication.
