Blue Origin is laying off around 10 percent of workers

Jeff Bezos has announced plans to lay off about 10 percent of the workforce. The company currently includes more than 10,000 workers, according to BloombergThis means that the demobilization of workers can affect about 1,000 employees.

In an e -mail obtained by DrillingDavid Lim, CEO of Blue Origen, told employees that rapid growth led to “more bureaucracy and less concentration than we need.” As a result, Limp said that the company “reducing our classes of management”, cutting employees via engineering, managing project, as well as research and development. “The formula of our organization must change to ensure the compatibility of our roles with the implementation of these priorities,” Limp wrote.

Last month, Blue origin was successfully launched New Glenn Rocket, Spacex competitor who will transport satellites and other goods to space. In his note, LIMP also highlighted the lunar landing plans in 2025, as well as increasing the frequency of New Glenn and New Shepard flights.

“Let me add that I am very confident in the tremendous opportunities in front of us and I was not more optimistic about our mission,” Lembe wrote. “We will continue to invest, innovate and employ hundreds of positions in the areas that will help us achieve our goals and the best service for our customers. We will be a stronger, faster and more focused company on customers that meet our obligations and go beyond constantly.”
