Shooting on subway platform leads to Harvard students sheltering in place

Cambridge, Massachusetts-Boston’s transit police were investigating shooting on the Harvard University of Harvard on Sunday, prompting the school to issue a refuge order for students and employees.
The authorities have temporarily redirect travelers on a portion of the city’s subway system to shuttle buses, where officers from various departments searched for the suspect.
Richard Sullivan, Director of the Transport Authority in Massachusetts, Massachusetts, said in an email that an armed man with a pistol fired four to five rounds in a “targeted individual” on the southern platform at Harvard Square Station, according to the initial investigation. Then the suspect escaped from the station.
He said there is no evidence that the target person or any other person was injured.
The police were alerted to a report on the shots that were launched at about 2:15 pm, a message was later sent to the Harvard community, and people urged shelter in the nearest building until further notice and that the police were searching in the area surrounding the crowded station, which is located near the school’s main campus in Cambridge.
The message, published on Harvard, was removed later on Sunday afternoon.
