‘Clown in a Cornfield’ review: Generic teens-in-peril slasher

Is there anything that can be relied upon like Slasher? He wanders, diminishes and winks in its cultural sessions, but it lasts; Flexible but durable, high or low (usually low), which requires only a few main elements: some teenagers and a masked killer. A small town will be nice. Change fashion and weapons and write themselves in practice. Enter a “clown in the corn field” from “Tucker & Dale vs. Evil” Director Elie Craig.

This inclined exactly does what he says on tin: A deadly clown from corn fields comes out in Kettle Springs and MO. MAULS offends teenagers to bodies. In an editorial introduced in 1991, Craig refers to the excitement that we should enjoy in the movie: The future victim is surprised by the size of the fingerprint in wet soil and clown shoes that give him a jungle as he gives our unfortunate spirit.

What distinguishes this particular film is its source, adapted from a horror novel for the year 2020 written by Adam Cesar. This literary origin gives this light type that can be eliminated a little more, although the rear history and generations to which it has not been completely explored on the screen. Craig and Carter Planchd collaborated on adapting the scenario, and the film relies on a kind of rapid detection and is directed that the audience expects it of this type of things.

Craig reflects self -reflect while it is appropriately awakened to the degrees of this type. The nearest recent comparison will be Elie Roth “Thanksgiving,” Another murderous movie of fashion, and although Craig does not have the creativity of the hateful Sadi Roth when it comes to killing, adolescence is a bit more fun, especially in Quinn Snarky (Katie Douglas), which is transmitted to Frings Frans Frors Froms Froms Frors Frors Frors From. The amulet of their city, Frundo, from the corn syrup factory.

Quinn begins to crush Cole (Carson McCurcmak), descendant of the city’s founders. Every year, they celebrate traditions with the foundation day’s width, which leads the Vendo Iconic Visage. But as soon as Queen appears, things begin in error. Teenagers begin to appear death, and the evil clowns begin to revive the leaflets. It is difficult at first to know what is real and what is a detailed joke.

There is a topic that is drifting through a “clown in the corn field” of adolescents and their phones and how we live our lives through the screens and permanent cameras, but Craig never adheres to that needle. At a time when it is difficult to distinguish what is real and what it is, especially on our phones, a more sophisticated story has never been listed, in favor of more blood -style blood and bad speeches.

The “clown in the corn field” is definitely fun, but it feels great like the spoiler of the atom. Douglas gives up enough with her humorous performance, brave, and keeping up with McCurc with her. We welcome Will Sasso and Kevin Durand for players to support players as the city’s aggressive agents. Although things get a little “Scooby-Doo” sometimes, Craig keeps it intelligent: this is a slight and with some unexpected fluctuations, some social comments that do not fell completely and there is not enough power to really not forget. Oh, well: Cesare already has a sequel that has been published, so there is already a lot of clown to the clown.
