Dell’s new Premium laptops are here, the XPS rebrand nobody asked for

after Cancel its xps brand Earlier this year, Dell has now launched two new “Premium” laptop models that replace them. Regardless of the recovery through the Intel Core Lake processors, the Dell LID logo slightly, and a few other changes, the Dell 16 Premium and Dell 14 premium are almost identical to XPS 16 and XPS 14 that preceded it.
“The new name refers to a new chapter – imposes it easy ever to find the right computer while providing the same quality, design and exceptional performance,” leads Dell products management, Kevin Terwelliger said in the advertising blog.
Both laptops are now available in the United States and Canada, where prices start from $ 1,649.99 ($ 2649.99) for Dell 14 Premium and $ 2,699.99 ($ 3,749.99) for DELL 16 Premium. There are still two options for colors available – silver “platinum” shadow and gray “gray” darker – which carries the XPS legacy for being nice enough to mix schools, colleges and office environments that are marketed for these laptops.
Dell 16 Premium was shocked to the latest generation of GPUS Nvidia RTX mobile, with RTX 5060 at launch. Additional models will be launched wearing the RTX 5050, RTX 5070 and Intel Arc Craphics integrated “soon”, with pricing unveiled yet. The RTX 5070 will benefit specifically from the upgrade to Thunderbolt 5.
Dell 14 Premium keeps integrated Intel graphics and its composition option using the RTX 4050 graphics processing unit, just like 2024 Dell XPS 14, but can now be formed with up to 64 GB of LPDDR5 RAM compared to the previous maximum of 32 GB. It also comes with Wi-Fi 7 support, which makes it in line with XPS 16 and New Dell 16 Premium.
