Did Mahsa Amini Die in Vain? | Opinion

Thousands of young women risked their lives in the streets of Iran because of what many Americans consider to be a foregone: freedom. These streets may again become the battlefield for the future of Iran.

Perhaps the amazing strike of the United States on the Iranian nuclear program, in coordination with Israel, has opened the door for some hope that will become the liberation of the Iranian people. It was the moment that acquired the attention of the world and reaffirmed America’s role as a global superpower.

Muhsa has become a symbol of women, life, and the freedom movement when she died at Tehran Hospital in 2022, after her arrest by the Iranian ethics police claiming that it violated the laws of the veil in the country. Her suspicious death sparked a wave of protests at the country’s level, led by women and girls, which sparked a global movement.

Whether the tragic death of my amino becomes a turning point that depends on what comes after that. The Crown Prince, Prince Iran, called for Pahlavi to the extensive resistance of women to return to the streets, using the X social media platform to fill work.

The momentum of this moment, years in making, is partially fueled by Israel’s military campaign, which has greatly weakened the strategic infrastructure of the Iranian regime. The declared goal is to dismantle Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons. However, the long -awaited opportunity to change the system can have counterproductive. If it is stalled, it risks the release of a wave of mass executions and the violation of Iran – and the rest of the world – is in greater danger than it was before the first bombs fell as before the Persian Empire.

Supporters argue that the Israel campaign to eliminate Iranian nuclear facilities – including enrichment stations, missile bases, research centers, infrastructure, and oil refineries – is a measure of justified national security. Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khawni, has repeatedly pledged to destroy the State of Israel and end Western civilization.

Israel called on civilians to evacuate Tehran before more strikes, a step that it claims to clarify its interest in the opposite. The Israeli army frame this as an ethical act – there are few armies that will be seen in the midst of the war. However, as Tehran is emptied, the voices of women like an amino -siblings – those who will look freedom – also disappear.

The goals of this war cannot be seen in isolation. Experts warn that Iran’s current regime can be replaced by more repressive and hostile to the international regime.

System change should eventually come from the inside. Even Balfafi stressed that he is not looking for power for himself, but he believes that the Iranian people should determine their future through the elections.

“Help isolate the system,” he said. Newsweek. “Help us raising the cause of freedom.”

The new Iran, a prominent opposition group, has expressed a warning about the dangers of the current moment. Its founder, Iman Furotan, sent a message to the Israeli Prime Minister recently Benjamin Netanyahu Warning from the risk of mixed messages.

“We are very anxious about the potential recovery of one of the most brutal tactics of the regime: the execution of a summary of political prisoners,” Foreutan wrote. He referred to reports from June 16 that at least 15 prisoners have been executed in Diesel Abad prison in Kermanshah. He said the next day, the prisoners at the famous Evin prison in Tehran were separated, which raised fears of an imminent wave of executions behind closed doors.

The nucleus -free Iran does not automatically mean that the regime has ended. After a decade from now, without a political shift, the world can find itself facing the same crisis again.

If Israel really supports the Iranian people, it must ensure that they can participate in the demonstrations that could form the future of their country. The United States must do more to enable the Iranians to determine their fate. Mixed messages from Israel undermine this issue. The Jewish state must make clear and consistent guidelines that support the struggle of the Iranian people for freedom.

The West cannot ignore a possible wave of deaths. Iran has a long and bloody record of opposition to silence through mass killings. Today, the Iranians are trapped between a sadistic regime and started the Israel war – with our support – to secure global security. This war may be necessary, even worthy of praise, but you should not leave the Iranian people behind it. They deserve the same freedom and safety that the Israelis and the Americans fight in order to preserve it.

president Donald Trump Prime Minister Netanyahu must remain strategic, united and consistent in their message. Only strength – moral clarity – will lead to a real change. If this moment means anything, it must be a fighting not only for security, but for women, life and freedom – to ensure that Moses does not die in vain.
