More than 5 million adults in the UK show a triple noise of financial, health and housing insecurity, as British families have reached “multi -tension” levels that have not been seen since the collapse of the global economy more than a decade ago.

Tonstal said it is very likely that there will be a link between the rise in multiple insecurity, increased dissatisfaction with voters from the main politicians and support for popular parties such as reform.

“The last time people were under this great pressure at the height of the global financial crisis,” Tonstal said. “More than 5 million people are under pressure from financial problems, housing problems and health problems at the same time. Three million of them feel constantly under pressure; they face a million and a half sleep problems.”
