F1 news: Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri start strong at Silverstone, but Ferrari is in the fight

On Friday, the two training witnessed the British Grand Prix, a familiar orange color on top of the timing sheets. After finishing the second place in FP1, Lando Norris topped the table in FP2, while his colleague Oscar Pastari finished third in the first and fourth session in the second.
But behind them were some red, in the form of the Lewis Hamilton Ferrari and Charles Licerrick.
Hamilton, whose emotional victory in Silverston a year ago was the most unforgettable moment in the 2024 F1 season, the timing papers topped in FP1 and was third in FP2. As for Leclerc, while ranked fourth in the early session, he ranked second behind Norris only in FP2.
Norris and PaStry noted the Ferrari pace after the session.
Norris told F1 official channel after the second training session. “So I think we have a little work to do, to be honest.
“Maybe it seemed very good today. [FP3] As they did at the end of last week. So I say I am pleased today, but nothing is proud of it yet. “
“[Ferrari] “It looked good, whether in the qualifiers or the longest.
Ferrari brought an upgraded floor to SF-25 to the Austrian Grand Prix race last week, which paid immediate profits to the team. Leclerc ranked third, while Hamilton ranked fourth, as they ranked Mercedes with one point in the structural championship ranking.
After the session, the Leclerc selects the Ferrari Race as a force heading to the weekend.
“Good today, the feeling of the cockpit was good, but we still have some work to do on the car,” Leclerc said in the team’s media report.
“In our qualified trim, it still seems that we are on the back foot, while we are more comfortable with our race. I really enjoy leading this path and looking forward to tomorrow.”
On the other side of the garage, Hamilton was somewhat optimistic, whether it was performance or air in Silverston where it was first made in the British Grand Prix in Ferrari Reed.
“It was really exciting day. It is unbelievable to be on the right track in Silverstone in Ferrari for the first time,” Hamilton added. “The car felt satisfied in both sessions, although I hit some traffic on the fastest fate in the FP2, so there is definitely time to find it. It is always amazing to return here.
“This is the greatest circle in the world and certainly my favorite. It is great to see a lot of people here already on Friday. The atmosphere is incredible.”
In other races this season, Ferrari started at the forefront, but it faded as it faded on Friday to the weekend. We’ll see whether this trend is continuing, or whether Scuderia can take advantage of today’s momentum and provide a strong performance in the British Grand Prix.
