Facts, not faith, in the assisted dying debate | Assisted dying

I think the voluntary death practitioner (VAD) referred to by Gabi Hinspiev in the name of “evangelization” about the quality of the regime’s work in Australia, my daughter, Dr. Claire Felingham (How do we help? Experts and politicians hope that another person will have the answer, January 31). This is done by the witnesses, the witnesses, serious damage. They were asked to provide evidence of the development, implementation and practice of VAD in their states, which they did.

Give the facts of the committee, not faith. Experience, not opinion. Any “activation” was for those at the end of life to have the option of death in dignity at the time of their choice. It is very important to remember that VAD as proposed in the Kim Leadbeater invoice is only available to those who suffer from a final disease. Their choice is not between living and death, but dies and dies.

My daughter believes that tilted care and vad are branches of the same tree, as I did. Both are rooted in emotional design to relieve suffering, importance – for death and those who love them – with good death.

Last week, I heard the Bill Bill Committee with help certificate Of approximately 50 experts over three days. Instead of providing clarity, the sessions revealed complexity and uncertainty, and the basic questions are still unanswered. Will you die with the help of NHS? What medications will be used, and are they safe and effective? Is feeling a good cause of death with help? Could the mental capabilities law work as a framework for approval? Will judicial protection make this law safer or more complicated?

Experts highlight the potential risks of this bill for classified ethnic groups, and people with mental illness and disabled. Some have indicated that a small number of illegal deaths may be a price worthy. Supporters of the bill have told us that this would be the safest law in the world in the world. But the experimental evidence to support this confirmation does not exist. Perhaps the most important question for deputies and society is to struggle with: “How safe is safe enough?”
