Exclusive: Scola may have found his new partner. Emily Albee (Swat, Joe Pickett) was cast FBI as a recurring cast on the CBS procedural’s current seventh season, sources close to the production tell Deadline.
Alabi will play a new agent and is expected to be paired with Stuart Scola (John Boyd), whose long-time partner Tiffany Wallace (Catherine Renee Keene) left in early October. Although Alabi is joining in a recurring role, we know there is potential for her to become a series regular in Season 8.
Lisette Oliveira was originally chosen to succeed Kane in the new season 7 series regular role of Sid Ortiz, a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit agent who joins the Criminal Division of the FBI’s New York field office and Scola’s partner. Oliveira left the show after a few episodes. As we reported at the timeThis was not a reflection of her work but rather a creative decision stemming from the character she played at a very young age.
