It was not just a fiery chef. It was a radiant spirit that lit every room I entered. From the start of the worst chefs in America, our friendly competition was driven by mutual respect: I risked my hair whitening; She was risking her loss. An epic bet embodies its unpredictable spirit. I was the bet that I lost in the end, but I could not imagine the loss to a more fierce competitor.

Outside the worst chefs, I got to know her as a generous colleague, supporter and better friend.

I will always remember her fixed dedication, not only for food, but to raise others. She believed in the auspices of cooking capabilities and celebrating small victories, whether in amateur chef or in collecting charitable donations.

It was Ann. There is no relentlessness in its criteria, but it is soft in its guidance.

For her husband, Stewart, her steps, Javier, her mother, Marilyn, her sister Jane, and many of her friends and fans: Please note that the warmth and vibrant spirit of it, and his generous heart will repeat in kitchens all over the world and in our hearts forever.

Lick in peace, chef. Your legacy will continue as a hero for food, kindness and empowerment in his inspiration. Thank you for every lesson, every challenge, and every glorious moment. You will miss deeply and never forget.

I cannot say that is the best ourselves.

Borrell survived her husband Stewart, Rabib Javier, Mother Marilyn and sister Jin.

Our condolences to her family and friends.
