“This was a clear danger and could be avoided,” said Rove’s lawyer, in a statement announcing the lawsuit. “There are basic safety protocols that every MLB team must follow. If he leaves an inception metal cylinder on the edge of the field, they are not forgiven.”
Reds did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The situation is similar to Dustin Fowler. In his first league appearance in 2017, he was injured in Chicago after running in an electric box while chasing a pop fly.
