Fresno State sits two of its top scorers amid reported investigation into betting activity on men’s games
Fresno State sits two of the three best scorers, amid reports that the school is investigating betting on men’s basketball games.
The school said on Saturday that Galin Wifer and Zaon Collins will not play against the Air Force and “they were blocked from the competition as the university reviews a civil issue. According to multiple reports Including ESPN and Bees Fresno, The school began investigating the betting activity after it was removed.
Mykell Robinson is no longer included in the team’s list and is also included in the investigation, according to reports. Players in all NCA sports are prohibited to bet on the athletes themselves and also prevent information to others for sports bets.
Weaver is the top scorer of the leading team with 12.5 points per game, while the average Collins is 12 points per game. Robinson has not played more than a month ago and an average of 10.3 points per game over 17 games.
