Google Search is going to be google.com globally

Google announced on Tuesday that it will redirect the names of the higher domains in the country code (CCTLD) to search Google to Google.com in the coming months “to simplify the experience of people in research.” According to the publication of the blog.

The change means that, for example, Google.ng (for Nigeria) or Google.com.BR (for Brazil) used, you will see Google.com in the address bar instead. With the change of change “gradually”, “you may be asked to re -enter some of the preferences of research in this process,” says the company.

Nothing about your experience must change otherwise. “It is important to note that although this update will change what people see in the browser address tape, it will not affect the way the research works, and it will not change the way we deal with obligations under national laws,” Google says.

Google indicates that since 2017, she has provided “the same experience with local results for all who use research” if they are using CCTLD in their country or Google.com. “Because of this improvement, the areas at the country level are no longer necessary.”
