Google’s DeepMind researchers among recipients of Nobel prize for chemistry

IR is a A frequent joke among the chemists that the Nobel Prize for Chemistry, often granted for developments in biology. Modern examples include prizes for the genetic liberalization tool Crisperin 2020; Development for enzymes and antibodies, in 2018; and DNA Reform mechanisms, in 2015. Some people may look at this year’s award, which has given work design and prediction of the protein structure, as a continuation of this direction. But the main message is elsewhere: some of the best minds in chemistry not only make molecules, but also make computer models.
