Apple says tariffs will cost it at least $900 million this quarter

For June quarter, we expect the majority of the iPhone devices sold in the United States of India as its original country, and Vietnam is the country of origin for all iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and AirPods products in the United States. China will remain the country or the original for the vast majority of the total product sales outside the United States.
If you look at the definition categories that apply to us today, for June quarter, most of our definitions are related to IEPA tariffs in February at a rate of 20 percent, which applies to imports of the United States to products that have China as its original country. In addition, for China, there was an additional tariff of 125 percent to import certain categories of products announced in April. For us, this is some of our Applecare’s works and accessories in the United States, and bring the total rate of China to these products to at least 145 percent.
Also, for transparency and clarity, the vast majority of our products including iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch and Vision Pro are not currently to the mutual global definitions announced in April, as the Ministry of Trade has started an investigation in section 232 in semi -conductor resources, and semi -conducting manufacturing products. For June quarter, as I talked about it in my opening comments, we appreciate the influence – assuming that the current global tariff prices, policies and applications do not change to the quarter -balance – to be 900 million dollars on our costs. I don’t want to predict the future production mix, but I wanted to give you clarity for June quarter.
