Here’s JD Vance Casting the Deciding Vote to Confirm America’s Next Secretary of Defense – Twitchy

Democrats have opened the Brett Kavanaugh playbook in their attempts to have him review President Trump’s nomination of Pete Hegseth to be the next Secretary of Defense, but these smear attempts fall short.
The Senate vote was 50-50, meaning that J.D. Vance decided the matter only a few days into his term as Vice President. This happened shortly after the Senate vote:

Interesting:
Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins, all of whom did not vote, also did not confirm Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense.
They all voted to confirm Lloyd Austin. pic.twitter.com/uzjofffvjz

There are still several Trump nominations to go, including Kristi Noem and RFK Jr. And Pam Bondi and others. But right now, congressional Democrats are feeling the pinch and that’s a sign that some good things have happened.
