HIMSSCast: AI assurance labs and improving quality

The idea behind AI assurance labs — where large language models and other AI technologies can be simulated and tested — is that they can improve the effectiveness of predictive analytics, disease detection, decision support, and other healthcare tools.

The role of AI assurance laboratories in frameworks, such as the health IT certification regulations issued by the US Health and Human Services, with the goal of establishing healthcare trust and transparency in healthcare, has been a goal for government and industry for the coming year.

Several groups and federal agencies are operationalizing AI to ensure patient safety and reliability under the Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of AI – Now Cancel By President Donald Trump – including the Alliance for Health Care. Some lawmakers have made reservations about Chai, but federal activists, Amnesty International, said their work with the group is complete and They left Chai’s roles In July.

This week, Brigham Hyde, CEO of Atropos Health and a member of the Generative AI Working Group, said he believes a lack of AI testing and evaluation standards could prevent providers from implementing advanced disease models and risk models. He explained why considering partnerships to evaluate the quality of machine learning algorithms from the beginning is so important, and what the benefits are and where innovation is going in healthcare.

And he said to Health care news.
