ALL cross The eastern American states, it is the Seikada season. These small winged insects appear almost the size of paper centers at regular intervals in vast hordes known as brood, millions or billions of individuals. They spend a few feverish weeks to multiply before the females put eggs in carved cracks in the branches of the trees.
