Houseplant clinic: I’m off on holiday. How will my plants survive? | Houseplants

What is the problem?
I am concerned that my home vegetable will not survive the heat while I am far away. How can I make sure they are alive?

Shuttle
Summer can be difficult for a hallby because the hottest temperatures, the most brighter sunlight and the longest day hours mean that they lose moisture more quickly and thus need more attention. The holiday adds an additional cause of anxiety about dehydration and thermal stress.

Prescription
Before you leave, water your plants completely, then move them away from direct sunlight to reduce evaporation. Collecting the plants together and applying shallow trays filled with water and nearby gravel will provide additional moisture. For longer trips, consider using self -water devices such as water balls or chain systems. Or ask a friend (one who has a vegetarian experience) to water it periodically. Covering plants (only unclean) loosely with clear plastic bags also helps to keep moisture.

protection
Check the expectations while you are far away and adapt your practices accordingly. With precise planning, it will not return to a vegetable cemetery.
