How optical illusions are illuminating vital medical research

New York – In the Museum of Illams in New York City, every corner is a wonder of eyes. There is a face vase, an art that moves with you, and a room seems to continue forever.

It is a fun game of our perceptions, which was built for the Tiktok era. But visual tricks are windows in how the mind works, and they are highlighting scholars.

“The brain uses all the information that you can discover what is in front of it,” Dr. Martin Duhreti, Professor of Psychology at East Anglia University in England, told CBS News.

DOHERTY has studied a specific puzzle for years called Ebbinghaus Illusion, an optical illusion that explains how the visualization of the size can be addressed using the surrounding shapes.

“The illusion works using the context to tamper with your perception,” Duhri explains.

Duhri has long thought that everyone saw Ebbinghaus in the same way. But in a study Published In the month of March in the scientific magazine, he and his colleagues found that radiologists who have years of training to ignore visual deviations already see the image differently and accurately.

In the study, the researchers tested 44 experts in the “Interpretation of the Medical Image” – the beamic designers and radiologists – against a set of monitoring of other psychology and medical students.

They found that the experts were “less likely to have all delusions except for Shepard Tabletops, which indicates a super cognitive accuracy.”

“According to the theory, this should not happen,” Duhri said. “It shouldn’t be possible. No previous research showed that you can learn to see through them.”

Another group has also been proven illusion, young children. But this ability disappears after the age of 7, Duhri said.

“We think this is because it takes some time to learn to integrate the context in your perception,” Duhri said.

It is evidence of the deep abilities of the trained brain. But for most of us, delusions are evidence of our restrictions.

“When you see these visual images, it is completely similar to your mind.

It is also a reminder that you cannot always believe what you see.
