How to Phrase Your Questions When You Need Honest Answers

Often at work, we face positions that require us to reveal the truth. Your manager may not want to tell you that you have no chance of a promotional offer this year because they are afraid that they will be Disturb you or struggle. Or, your team member may tell a self -service lie to avoid blaming a delay in the project. In a serious condition for the employee’s misconduct or when things go terribly in a project, you may need to collect honest information and collect evidence to make a decision or find a way to move forward. Simply ask, “How did you miss this critical part of the information?” Or “Why wasn’t you promoting?” Not enough.
