Huckabee nomination to be next US ambassador to Israel clears key Senate hurdle

During his confirmation session, the former ruler prompted allegations that Trump wanted to take over the Gaza Strip, and insisted that the president did not call for the “forced displacement” of the Palestinians from Gaza – “unless it is for their safety.”

“If this is confirmed, I will be responsible for implementing the priorities of the president, and not mine,” said Hackabi, in response to the questions imposed on him by Senator Jeff Mercli, de Or.

But it is unlikely that the Huckabe testimony during the Senate interrogation has received a large new support from Democrats in Congress.

“Hakapi sites are not deliberate diplomatic words – they are provocative words that are outside the international consensus and contrary to the basic principles of the two parties of American diplomacy,” said Jerry Nadler, MP Jerry Nadler, a Jewish democracy last month. “In one of the most volatile and violent regions in the world today, there is no need for more extremism, and certainly not from the position of historical ambassador and behind the strong seal of the United States.”
