Hunter scores 21, No. 10 Clemson battles back to beat SMU 57-54 to reach ACC Tournament semifinals

Charlotte, North Carolina (AP)-Cis Hunter scored 21 points, Giden Zakri added 11 points, and Clemerson fought No. 10 to beat SMU 57-54 on Thursday evening for his ninth consecutive victory to reach the semi-finals at the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Ian Shevlin has nine points and 12 rebounds for the tigers (27-5), who are looking for the first administrative coordination committee championship.

Matt Cross SMU (23-10) led with 13 points, while Boubi Miller scored 10.

SMU led most of the second half, but VikTor Lakhin’s Lane Jumper gave Tigers to advance 52-51 with 4:50 left in the game.

SMU had an opportunity to connect or take the initiative after Hunter missed 3 seconds with 17 seconds with the collapse of the shot. Mustang called the deadline with 12.5 seconds staying, but Chuck Harris missed the third corner. There was a battle for the apostasy before the ball came out of the border. It was initially ruled that the ball came out of the Clemerson player, but after reviewing the play, officials ruled that SMU finally touched the ball.

SMU: Cross picked up its fourth in the middle of the second half, but Mustang did not give up and stayed with the tigers to the end.

Clemerson: It seemed that Delon Hunter’s goalkeeper started to upgrade a finger in the first half and no longer.

Main moment

He led Hunter through the corridor, stopped and then hit the bird in the shift to put Clemeson four with less than two minutes survival.
