‘I positioned myself against a wall and waited’: Michel Kharoubi’s best phone picture | Photography

S.On the day he took this photo, French photographer Michelle Kharbi was on his way to visit his father in a medical retirement house. This was filmed in Les Olympiades, in the thirteenth circle of Paris, but Kharoubi notes that the specific location is not important for him.
“I do not practice realistic or documentary in the streets, but I am trying to take iconic urban photos,” he says. “I put myself on the wall and waited for the right characters to pass.”
Exit adds that the image you feel like urban opera. He says: “The city is a group, and passers -by are heroes and additions.” “The composition is necessary, because this part of the reality will be the basis of the image. Then, in the post -production stage, I chose what is highlighted and hit, like the director.”
While my graduate believes that the image should attract the eye, and perhaps even the politicization or reveal something about the world, it insists that the device used to capture it is secondary. “Whether it is a smartphone or otherwise, this is just a tool in this process. The important thing is our view of the world and the story we tell.”
