Japanese Grand Prix 2025: F1 coverage from SB Nation

A week later, the network was quiet, Formula 1 returned to the Japanese Grand Prix this week.
But while the network itself was silent, the sport was full of noise.
The first horrific development for the 2025 F1 season came as Red Bull made the Snap decision to sabotage Liam Lawson, where the young driver was sent to Buls Cash App Racing Bulls after the weekend in the race. He will drive his car alongside Isack Hadjar starting at the end of this week.
Take Lawson’s place next to Max Versaben? Nothing but Yuki Tsunoda, who first appeared for Red Bull in his home race, Japanese Grand Prix. While Tsunouda was passed in favor of Lawson to the adjacent place for Verstapen last winter, its strong form to start the year, along with Lawson’s struggles, opened the door to Red Paul.
But this is not the only story that must be seen this week. Can you make McLaren three in a row? Can Ferrari return after a double exclusion in the Chinese Grand Prix? Is Mercedes a surprise package this season?
We will follow it this week, as F1 is heading to Suzuka for the Great Japanese race.
