One of the problems that arose from the recent (and manufactured anger) about dust between President Trump and Ukrainian President Voludmir Zelinsky, and the Russia-Ukraine war in general, is that people tend to obtain their comparisons in comparisons and conflict descriptions.

There were many tweets like this yesterday. Not all included them, only some of our preferences.
Because people always want to be “good men”, it makes sense that they want to make comparisons with “good war”, World War II.
But even World War II was not the Second World War. It is not the way people glorify.
World War II was a nightmare. Millions of lives were lost. The other millions were injured. The entire cities were obliterated (not just those that we dropped by nuclear bombs). Uncomfortable alliances were made to achieve victory. Even many of those who have survived it forever, not always for the better.
It was not Hollywood. It was horrific, was tragic, and was ugly. Because all war is horrific, tragic and ugly.
If someone is trying to bring peace to a war -torn country, this is a good thing.
