The events that arose from the arrest of a black teenager on May 31, 1921 in Toulsa Oklahoma will escalate over eighteen hours and lead to one of the worst actions of racist violence in American history. The Tolsa race hierarchy will leave up to three hundred dead, and a large part of the city’s Greenwood section (also known as Black Wall Street) has been destroyed.

While some details of the event remain a mystery (including the real number of deaths) due to cover -up, here is what is known.
On May 30, there was a black teenager named Dick Roland working as a shoe in Tolsa and Shahid running from a building. He was alone in an elevator with a young white woman named Sarah Beige, who heard screaming while Roland fled. He was detained to interrogate him the next day.
Rumors such as the wilderness, and the TULSA TRIBUNE MIRT are a story on the front pages that claimed that Roland was arrested by sexual assault on a page. By the evening of May 31, Lynch’s Gogo gathered in court where Rolling was detained and demanded.
