Trump tariffs face legal battle as White House remains confident in victory

White House Economic Council director Kevin Haysit says he is still “very very confident” that the courts will support the president Donald Trump Customs tariff agenda.

Hasait made the statement during the appearance of Sunday morning on “this week” in ABC, hosts told hosts that the White House was still expecting a “plan.”

“So we are very happy. We are very confident that the judges will support this law. So I think this plan A, and we are very confident that the plan A is all we need,” Haysit said.

“But, if some judges, for some reason, he says it is not a national emergency when a larger number of Americans of fentanel dies more than he dies in all American wars combined, this is not an emergency state that has authority – if a significant statement is made by a judge somewhere, we will have other alternatives that we can follow well to make sure that we are entering it in the American trade field again.”

The emergence of Hasait comes after the Trump tariff court brought down the ruling last week, only until the Appeals Court issued a temporary residence that protects definitions during the litigation.

Members of the Three Judges Committee appointed by Trump, the former president Barack Obama And former President Ronald Reagan unanimously eliminated that Trump had crossed his authority under Eba.

They pointed out that, as the Supreme Commander, Trump has no “unlimited authority” to impose definitions under the emergency law.

At the present time, the burden of proof is transmitted to the government, which the court must convince that it will suffer from “irreparable damage” if the judicial order remains in place, which is the high legal criterion that the Trump administration must meet.
