New York McDonald’s Bans Teens Without Parents After Crime Rises

A McDonald’s In New York City, no person under 20 years old does not allow a parent and identify identity under a new policy aimed at reducing crime.

The site has published on Nostrand and Flatbush roads in Brooklyn, a sign of its door saying: “No one is allowed under the age of 20 in this restaurant without one of the parents and the appropriate definition. Thank you, management.”

Why do it matter

In the past three years, more than 100 911 calls have been made annually from the inside and in front of the McDonald’s website, according to the police data they obtained New York Post. There have been approximately 30 calls this year so far.

In 2011, a 18 -year -old was shot when the restaurant entered. A year later, a 24 -year -old director assaulted after a controversy over food.

Director Amber Hussein, 19, told the Post newspaper that a group of events that were wearing ski masks attacked a security guard and broke a glass door inside the restaurant earlier this month.

Hussein said: “It was a crazy scene.”

She said she works in McDonald’s for a year, and comes about 15 to 20 teenagers every day to “expel the store.” She said they throw ice on customers, and hold food from Uber Drivers and marijuana smoke inside the restaurant.

Kenneth Mbono, Executive Director of Business Improvement at Flatbush Nostrand, told CBS News News The boycott and administration are trying to be “proactive”.

“We do not want something bad first, before we start attending to search for solutions,” Mboun said.
