Man critically injured after plunging from stands at Pirates game

Officials said a man was in critical condition after he fell about 20 feet from the stands to the ground in a home match in Pittsburgh in Park on Wednesday.
The man was seen back in the air before landing in the path warning area in the right field during the seventh half, stopping the game when the players looked shocked.
A spokesman for Pittsburgh Public Safety at the Alagini General Hospital, where he was in critical condition.
“It was the reaction of the EMS team, as well as the pirate sports training teams, the cubs and other PNC Park employees, responded immediately and managed to care,” Pirates said in a statement.
The person who witnessed the accident said that this happened quickly and that the man fell from the 21 -foot wall.
“It was quickly. I couldn’t know if he jumped or fell,” said Sam Miller. Miller said that EMS staff tied the man with a scaffold to his waterfall.
