Margaret Mead Film Festival Announces 2025 Lineup

Exclusive: the Margaret Med Film Festival -The longest documentary in the United States-on the 2025 collection, announced the list of the winner of the winner of the winner of the winner Seeds.

The festival, which runs from 2 to Sunday, May 4 in American Museum of Natural History In New York City, 17 documentary films will be made, including the first show of the United States and 15 shows for the first time in New York. The topic of this year, “We, the story”, illuminates “the various ways we communicate with with each other, our environments, and a common history,” according to a release. Pass the full schedule.

- New York’s first offer how deep is your loveDirected by Emily Mortimer, with the film maker in attending a question and answer. The film goes under the waves to document biologists who are racing “to collect and nominate the non -detected species of the abyss, the last wilderness on the ground.”

Two awards will be presented at the festival: The Margaret Mead Award for Directors in Margaret Meed 2025, which was chosen by the Festival’s jury, and the second annual audience award, which is determined by the attendees at the festival. The festival was named after the famous cultural anthropologist Margaret Meed, Amin Ayer at the American Museum of Natural History “whose research and practices continue in this field today.”
The American Museum of Natural History, which was established in 1869 with a dual task of scientific research and scientific education, “is one of the prominent scientific, educational and cultural institutions in the world.” Through the Richard Gilder Graduate Studies, the museum offers two only programs that involve free grades of their kind in any museum in the United States: PhD. The program is in comparative biology and a master’s program in literature in teaching (MAT).
The office, an independent, multidisciplinary coordinator and its headquarters, has been working with the New York and London, with the American Museum of Natural History at the Margaret Meed Film Festival since 2012.
