Mastodon 4.4 is now out, and it brings a set of changes to things like personal files and menus, and it also sets the basis for quotation posts.
With personal files, you can now view specific classification marks so that people can see all the posts that you put on these retailers, Mastodon says. As for the lists, Mastodon says that their creation and management “have been greatly simplified” and that “it is easier than ever in addition and removing accounts from your lists directly from personal files, followers and followers lists.”
And with the quotation posts, which Mastodon It was already said they were in businessThe platform is what it calls “the first part” of implementation. “Given that Mastodon is working on more than 8000 independent servers together, the statute you know, the launch of features like this requires a two -kind approach: First we issue a symbol that supports the processing of this new format and its display, then allows to launch our symbol users to use the feature actively.”
With 4.4, “you will be able to see quotes from compatible Fediverse platforms (including futuresodon versions),” but you will not actually be able to quote the posts until the Mastodon 4.5 version.
