Microsoft made an ad with generative AI and nobody noticed

Microsoft has revealed that a minute of Surface Pro and Surface Ludup devices have been created using AI. But there is an evolution: the advertisement has been issued nearly three months ago, and it seems that no one of the elements of artificial intelligence has noticed.

The advertisement, which was broadcast on YouTube on January 30, does not fully consist of the created content. in Microsoft Design Blog Posted on Wednesday, the director of the higher design communications, Jay Tan, admits that “the hallucinations from the cross AI will raise her head,” which means that creators should correct some output of artificial intelligence and integrate it with real shots.

“When a decision on the shots inside the advertisement created by Amnesty International, the team decided that any complex movement like close to writing on keyboards should be launched,” says Tan. “The shots that were fast or limited movements, however, were primary for joint construction with obstetric intelligence tools.”

Microsoft did not specify exactly the shots created using artificial intelligence, although Tan detailed the process. Artificial intelligence tools were used for the first time to create “convincing text, stories and stadium paint.” Then the Microsoft team used a set of written claims and images to get Chatbot to create text claims that can be feed in photo generators. These images were repeated, edited to correct hallucinations and other errors, then feed them in video generators like Hailuo or Kling. These are the only specific artificial intelligence tools that I called TAN, with non -determinants of Chatbots and image generators.

“We may have passed thousands of different claims, as we gradually deduced in the directing until we got what we wanted. There was no actually mentor.” “It comes from being uncomfortable.” This makes the process seem to be more action than it might be otherwise, but the visual designer Brian Townsin is estimated that the team “may save 90 % of the time and the cost that it will usually take.”

Despite the fact that the video was connected to the Internet for about three months, there is no sign that anyone has noticed artificial intelligence out yet. The advertisement contains slightly more than 40,000 views on YouTube at the time of writing this report, and none of the higher comments will be expected that the video will be produced using artificial intelligence.

Knowing that artificial intelligence was involved, easy enough to guess where-the meetings that were not handcrafted, which is a suspicious major Mason jar, tells Amnesty International to everything-but without knowing to search for it, it is clear that many viewers were unable to discover the difference. The rapid discounts of advertising help hide the defects of the artificial intelligence output, but indicate that in the right hands, artificial intelligence tools are now strong enough to go without anyone noticing them.
