Scientists have discovered a new type of dinosaur -One of the dog size and wandering what was now the United States about 150 million years ago, along with familiar dinosaurs like Stegosaurus DipLodocus.
Enigmacursor Mollyborthwickaeand As the researchers called it, it was the same size as a refund of Labrador, with a tail consisting of half its length, according to Ticket In the Royal Society, the Open Sciences were published on Wednesday.
Although many of its bones were discovered from the formation of Morrison in Colorado in 2021-2022, its skull and parts of its spine were missing, leaving scientists not sure of its flour.
Professor Paul Barrett, a researcher at the London History Museum, who participated in the study, told CNN: “These small dinosaurs that eat very rare plants (to find them),” CNN told CNN.

“In fact, finding a great skeleton is completely complete instead of a few parts and pieces of bones is not common and as a result it is somewhat badly known.”
The skeleton will be displayed in the Natural History Museum as of June 26.
Parrett said this dinosaurs “was gently built” and weighed around the same Cole. Barrett added that the lover was a herb and could have followed his long background legs, which “indicated that he was a quick runner”, which allowed him to make a “quick smuggler” of predators.
He and his colleague, Susanna Midmont, began investigating this sample after an art gallery in London, which was displaying dinosaurs, in contact with them.
In the end, they managed to work with the exhibition to find a grant that can help bring the skeleton to the museum. The name of the species honors this donor, Molly Portoic, while the sex name is Latin for “mysterious hostility”.

By carefully examining the bone, Maidment and Barrett concluded that this sample has unique properties unlike any other types of previously known. In particular, the thigh bone was particularly special, with different types of muscle attachments compared to other dinosaurs, said Barrett.
It is closely related to Yandusaurus Hongheenis, a three -meter -long dinosaur (9.8 feet) found in China. This indicates that the species were widely distributed, as Barrett said, it is assumed that other fossils have not yet been found.
Scientists believe that this sample has not yet grown because some of its paragraphs have not been fascinated yet, but because of the way the fossil was prepared before reaching the Museum of Natural History, they cannot be sure. It is also not clear how the dinosaur died because there are no clear signs of the disease or infection in its bones.
Barrett said that new types of dinosaurs are discovered or identified relatively repeatedly, almost once a week. But finding small dinosaurs like this is more rare, partly due to their ignorance by fossil fishermen looking for larger, more impressive and partial dinosaurs because smaller skeletons are likely to be disintegrated by predators and hump.
Barrett said that finding these smaller dinosaurs that often remain on Earth “gives us a more complete idea of the form of these ecosystems.”
