New Jersey’s Democratic Attorney General Matthew Platkin said he is leading a group of states, the District of Columbia and the city of San Francisco, in filing a lawsuit blocking President Trump’s executive order ending the constitutional guarantee of birthright citizenship. The coalition filed a lawsuit in federal court saying that the Republican president’s efforts to end birthright citizenship are a violation of the US Constitution.
