Burning New Jersey Thousands of people were forced to evacuate, closed a main fast path and reached a closed nuclear power plant.
Flames of the Jones Road Wildfire in Ocean County has reached the buildings on the campus of the Ostar Kreik nuclear power station, according to the local Likwood Scope newspaper.
The fire grew quickly to include 3440 hectares (8500 acres) and was only 10 %, according to the service of forest fire in New Jersey.
She said that Garden State Parkway, one of the busiest highways in New Jersey, was closed between the towns of Parnigat and Lassi, and more than 1,300 structures were evacuated and about 3000 people were evacuated. The shelters were open in two secondary schools, according to the Parinigat police administration.
Jersey Center and Light Company has reduced the energy to about 25,000 customers at the request of firefighting and leadership position in Wildfire on Tuesday evening, including thousands in the town of Barnegat. The company said on X that it does not expect the energy to be restored before Wednesday.
