There is a lot to explore it in Google Maps, but you may not always know the viewpoint. It is great if you are trying to drive across a crowded city or know local cafes that contain the best bread, but there are also other less popular features worth investigating. These historical photos include Google Street View.
Google Maps make it easy to switch between different time periods. On the desktop or mobile devices, you can return to when Street View’s Google started first in a street patrol – in some areas, you can return to 2007 – and find out how roads and places appear years ago.
So, whether you have a practical purpose or just want to do a longing trip, here is how to do this. These instructions apply to the latest Google Maps versions of Weband AndroidAnd IOS.
If you use Google Maps in the desktop browser, you can access View View by clicking anywhere on the map where View Street (which is most of the most famous roads and landmarks), then click on Street view Panel at the bottom. (You will look like a small square image with a curved arrow.)
Instead, select a specific destination on the map, such as a tape or garden, to show its information panel – then click the same thing Street view A board at the bottom or click Street width and 360 degrees In the photo gallery. Both methods take you to the same place.
- If View Historical Street is available (not everywhere), look for a See more dates Link in the title box at the top of the left.
- Select this link to view a series of miniature images along the lower part of the screen, called all available dates. Pass the right to see the oldest.
- Click any mini image to see street photos of that time. Click and pull the same pictures to look around.
- You can still move as usual by clicking on shares on View View. If you move to a place where there are no old photos, you will return to the latest pictures.
- If you want to move around any faster, you can click on the mini -map (lower left) and then click on a specific point to jump to this place. The areas with a blue scene cover are marked.
- Click See the last date (Higher Left) to return to the latest pictures in the VIWEW Street database.
If you are using Google Maps on Android or iOS, then you have two ways to jump to Street View: You can click and keep any spot on the map, and if the View Street photos are available for it, the view appears on the street in the lower corner of the map. (You may also get the same image in the lower half of the screen, depending on how to prepare the Google Maps version.) In both cases, click this to reach View View.
You can also click on the name name to show its information card, then choose photo and Street width and 360 degrees (If it appears) to get to View Street and start searching around it.
- If the pictures from other dates are available, you will get a file See more dates Link at the bottom of the screen. Click this to see the same choice of mini -images as on the computer, named the month and the year. Click on any miniature photo to jump.
- Press and drag the screen to look around or click on any of the shares that appear on the screen to move around the site you are.
- As in the desktop, if you move to a place that does not have old photos, you will return to the latest pictures.
- You can also return to the latest pictures by clicking on the left mini image in choosing a date or by clicking on x In the upper left corner.
Historical satellite pictures in Google Earth
You can also explore historical satellites using Google Earth. You can either use it on Web Or get applications for Android and IOS.
At the web interface, click Activating historical photos A button in the upper toolbar. (It seems that the globe with an arrow around it.) Then you get a schedule of pictures available to the area you are looking for: Just click a year to return in time. You can also switch from Historical photos to Timelapse Using the button in the left top of the screen and choose the speed you want time to check.
With mobile phone applications, you can click the layer button (two squares, top right), then switch Historical photos. One of the emanating in the bottom of the screen will appear to you the same schedule in which you get the desktop, and you can travel back and forward in time by pulling your finger along the schedule. If you want to do a time, look for the icon that displays a round backward arrow at the top of the popup.
Satellite images go back to the seventies in some parts of the world, but of course, when they come back over time, image decisions will become less and less, depending on the satellite technology available in that year.
