However, the mid -twentieth century brought a major redevelopment process to the northern end of the park, including the project that overwhelmed Mir in a preserved wall on concrete. A lot of landscapes and accumulation have been paved, including with an ice/swimming pool rink. During the city’s financial crisis in the 1970s, this northern part of the park – surrounded by less richer, historical and Latin neighborhoods – fell in bad condition.
