Ossi claims individual title in smallbore, and Alaska Fairbanks leads the NCAA rifle championships

Nanocos launched a small degree of Smallboard from 2355 on Friday to lead the second place Kentucky with one point. West Virginia is ranked third with 2350 and the defense of the TCU champion in fourth place in 2335.

OSSI won a 464.7 win in the SmallBore final for his colleague at Edge Rachael Charles, which launched the second place 463.6. Katie Zaun from TCU won a bronze medal after she launched 453.6 with 37 central rounds.

OSSI is the first Nanooks shooter to win the single SmallBore title since Tim Chery in 2014. It is also the first individual national champion of Alaska since Rylan Kissell won the individual Air rifle in 2023.

The tournament will be concluded on Saturday with the air gun part of the competition.
