Playbill Names Jolie Schaffzin Publisher; First Woman To Hold Title

Exclusive: Playbill Inc. By naming Jolly Shafiz Publisher Playbill magazine, theater magazine and guide. Shafiz became one of the old warriors in publication with 27 years of service, and she became the first woman to hold this role.
After a profession in advertising agencies, sales roles in Conde Nast and Hurst, Shafiz joined Playbill as a director to advertise fashion and beauty and was later promoted to a participant publisher. For decades, she built profound relations through advertising and theater industries, and defended the power of stories on the stage and printing.
Shafiz, the owner of the life stage, supports organizations that enhance the arts community, including Broadway Cares/Equity fights AIDS and the theater union institution. She works in the advisory committee of the American theatrical pavilion.
