After day of nationwide protests, Trump’s military parade rolls through D.C.

President Donald Trump’s long -awaited military procession continues in the streets of Washington on Saturday, but the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the American army was marred by a day of violence and disagreement.
In the hours before the start of the show, hundreds of thousands of Americans walked and gathered in the streets in cities from New York to Chicago to Los Angeles, in protest against President Trump’s actions while she was in office, in the biggest of these measures since he returned to power in January.
Earlier in the day, the armed deputy of a Democrat and another wounded in Minnesota was assassinated and remained in general.
All this followed a week of tension in Los Angeles, where protests on federal immigration raids resulted in Trump’s invitation to the National Guard and US Marine Corps to help maintain peace, on the objections of the Democratic Governor Gavin News.
The show, which is located on the seventy -ninth birthday of President Trump, began at an earlier time than expected with thunderstorm expectations in the Washington region.
The armored and artillery tanks and artillery tankers fell on the road to the exhibition along the constitution Street, which is an extraordinary scene in the United States, where such military offers are rare.
“Every country celebrates their victories,” President Trump said to the crowd.
Thousands of spectators lined up along the way. Trump watched the procedures of a high display position behind the bulletproof glass.
Some of the president’s opponents also managed to find a place along the show, and hold signs to protest. Other demonstrators were kept separate from the mobilization of the show by the local police.
The US military brought nearly 7,000 soldiers to Washington, along with 150 vehicles, including more than 25 M1 Abrams tanks, 28 Stryker vehicles, four self -debt artillery vehicles, artillery pieces, including M777 and M119.
Army History
The show follows the history of the army from its founding during the revolutionary war to this day. President Trump often stood up and lived the forces he walked.
Members of the Council of Ministers, including Pentagon President Beit Higseth and Foreign Minister Marco Rubio.
President Trump has first expressed interest in a military parade in Washington early in the first time of 2017-2021 in his post.
In 1991, tanks and thousands of forces were shown via Washington to celebrate the overthrow of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein from Kuwait in the Gulf War.
US officials told Reuters that the celebrations were expected to cost the US military between $ 25 million and $ 45 million. This includes the same offer, as well as the cost of transporting equipment, housing, and feeding of the forces.
Critics described The Parade as an authoritarian offer for luminous power, especially given that President Trump said he wanted to reduce costs throughout the federal government.
Brian Henry, Trump’s supporter, flew from Texas to celebrate the army’s anniversary and did not see any problems with the tanks rolling in the streets of Washington.
“I don’t see controversy. I will celebrate safety and stability on any day on chaos,” 61 -year -old Henry said.
‘shame! shame!’
Earlier in the day, thousands walked in Washington and in other cities in protest against President Trump’s policies. The demonstrations were largely peaceful and were distinguished by the largest flow of the opposition to Trump’s presidency since he returned to power in January.
However, in Los Angeles, the police, others on horseback, used flash bombs and tear gas to push a crowd of demonstrators around the federal building that was the focus of many demonstrations.
Earlier, the crowd shouted at the Marines guarding the facility, “A shame!” And “Marine Corps, get out of Los Angeles!”
Trump control groups planned nearly 2000 demonstrations worldwide to coincide with the show. Many have happened under the topic “No Kings”, stressing that there is no individual above the law.
Thousands of people of all ages have turned into and around the Brian Park in the center of Manhattan, and many of them carry homemade signs that played on the topic “No Kings”. “No crown for the clown,” said one. Actor Mark Rovalo was among the demonstrators wearing a hat reading “immigrants”.
“We see inhuman language towards gay people towards people with autism towards people with other disabilities, ethnic minorities, and uncomfortable persons,” said Cooper Smith, 20, from New York State. “Someone should appear that most Americans are against this.”
The demonstrators in the center of Chicago stood against the police on Saturday, where some American flags are waving upside down chanting: “Who is the protect? Who do you serve?” And “no justice, no peace.”
Members of the extreme right -wing boys, Trump’s enthusiastic supporters, appeared in a “no kings” protest in Atlanta, wearing the colors of the black and yellow group of the group.
About 400 demonstrators, organized by a group called Refusefascism.org, walked through Washington and gathered in a gathering in a garden against the White House. President Trump warned people against protesting the same show, saying, “They will meet very great strength.”
“Today we refuse to accept the unleashed army against the people of this country and in the streets of this country,” Sonsara Taylor, the founder of Rivosevs, told the crowd.
